There are multiple benefits to being a member of HELINA Education WG. As a HELINA member, through this website, you can: 

  • Host your online meetings and webinars
    • The HELINA Education Working Group has worked to offer support for a Zoom conference meeting which allows HELINA members to schedule and host zoom-based meetings and Webinars via a stable connection and with unlimited meeting duration (you will not be logged out after 40 minutes).
  • Host your online courses and resources
    • Members of HELINA can host online courses through the HELINA Learn platform. This includes the ability to host course content, schedule lessons, provide quizzes, track participation and grades, among others. Please contact info@helinanet.org should you be interested in taking advantage of this feature.
  • Host a Forum-based discussion through HELINA Talk
    • HELINA members can propose and moderate discussions on topics that have relevance the wider HELINA community. Topics are hosted on HELINA Talk, and the wider community can participate. To propose a discussion topic, either individually, through a working group, or through a national society, please contact info@helinanet.org.
  • Leveraging Social Media to disseminate your Informatics Work
    • HELINA is successful if we have an active and vibrant community. As such, we have implemented social media modalities in Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google to support community cohesion and networking. HELINA is happy to support you to disseminate your work to a large audience using all these modalities.
  • Blogs & News
    • HELINA members are invited to submit blogs and short articles for dissemination to its wide audience. You can also share any relevant health informatics news you may have and we will be happy to disseminate it through this website and through the social media channels.
